The first step is now complete. The option to apply for a Think.com account was approved yesterday. I look forward to seeing what the students (who left on a three day field trip to study Wisconsin wildlife) have to say about their journey to the great outdoors. This may present a first opportunity for the students to share their thoughts in the form of a blog.
I am looking forward to an upcoming discussion of podcasting. I feel the students I work with will share as much interest in this area of technology as they may when blogging becomes a realistic option in our district.

Hopefully they will take some pictures as well that may be able to help stimulate their blog thoughts. Should be interesting. Mary Beth
I look forward to hearing how this works for you. I applied for a Think.com account but am not sure that my principal approved my request.

It's good to hear that you went forward with it so soon. Let us know how it's going and if its working out well for you. I also would like to apply for a Think.com account; however, I think I will have to wait until next school year.
Mark,
I have to say I was really intrigued by Think.com after listening to the podcast. It's cool that you have taken it one step further and have actually opened an account. Think.com seems to take all that is good about blogging for students, teachers, parents, and administrators and also does an excellent job of taking a lot of the worry those same groups have towards blogging out of the equation. I think the lady from the podcast was teaching 3rd and 4th graders and used Think.com with tremendous success, but it is equally as funtional with older kids as well. I look forward to seeing your progress as you get your kids up and running with Think.com.
